Golden gate Bridge is the most famous and the most big one in the world, located in San Francisco. It is a technical masterpiece, which was completed in 1937. This bridge was designed by the engineer Joseph Strauss, which mail goal was to connect San Francisco with Marin Country.
What is specific for this bridge it is its color- orange. This color was chosen because it blends well with the span’s natural setting as it is a warm color consistent with the warm colors of the land masses. Also for the visibility for passing ships.
Soon after the bridge was completed it immediately enjoyed worldwide fame. This was because of the two huge towers and the magnificent surrounding near the Pacific Ocean.
This is a famous bridge that has appeared in many films- The Maltese Falcon, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Rock and the Interview with the Vampire.
There is a sidewalk on the Golden Gate Bridge, also is a challenge to cross the bridge. You can cross the bridge by car, or you can take one of the buses that connect San Francisco with Marin Country.
The Golden Gate Bridges has a spectacular sights, but you can have some of the great views on the bridge. The most popular site is situated at the San Francisco end of the bridge you can see the South Vista Point. The Land’s End where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the Lincoln Park, and many other points that offer a great views.
The Golden Gate Bridge is located at the Presidio Park and can easily be reached by bus or car. The most pleasant way to reach the bridge however is by walking either from the Marina District to the east or from Baker Beach to the west of the bridge.
